The HandshoeMouse is not a regular computer mouse, a hideous of professional scientific and built tool to prevent overload of the muscles that need to lift the fingers when using a regular mouse. The natural shape of the HandshoeMouse provides relaxation and limites the risk of complaints in neck, arm and shoulders.

Size
the shape of the HandshoeMouse is based on natural posture of the human hand. This means that the HandshoeMouse comes in different sizes. All mice have the same shape but there are different sizes for the left and a right hand. To measure which says you need, to put our ruler over your flat hand and you start measuring at the first wrist line until the end of your ringfinger. That's the size in millimetres and it refers to the hand size as written by the product numbers.

The Mouse re-invented
In the early 60’s Doug Engelbart, a scientist at the Stanford Research Institute in California, invented the computer mouse. This may certainly be seen as one of those brilliant tools we can hardly do without. By just moving your hand over the desk top you can move the cursor accross the screen. It provides the freedom of movement which can be compared with standing in front of a black board with a piece of chalk.
The mouse is virtually an extension of your arm and hand. The buttons allow you to activate all sorts of programmes on your PC.

However excellent the functionality of the mouse - we all use it with great ease - most of the time it is too small for the hand while its shape forces hand and fingers in an unnatural gripping position. It lacks comfort.

Now there is a new concept, a re invention of the mouse, the HandshoeMouse.

A group of mechanical engineers who experience the virtues of a mouse in their daily practice while using the PC noticed the disadvantages of a regular mouse.

They re-designed the mouse in such a fashion that it is now sheer enjoyment to put your hand on the HandshoeMouse. The bio design of the shape provides relaxation for the hand and allows you to work for long hours without any physical effort. Next to these practical advantages the beautiful design pleases the eye like a beautiful piece of art.

The fundamental know how to realize this re design was provided by the Erasmus MC, University Medical Center Rotterdam and University of Maastricht in cooperation with the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands.

After fundamental development research and extensive field tests the HandshoeMouse has proven its value in daily practice. Engineers, architects, accountants, lawyers, secretarial staff in general everybody who works with a PC on a daily basis and has tried this new mouse is excited.
