Alex
Senior advisor ergonomics
Alex Rodi is a former medical assistant and owner of Backshop Healthy Computing. Alex started Backshop Healthy Computing over 15 years ago aiming to match knowledge with products. Backshop's mission to cure and prevent RSI/CANS related problems through knowledge transfer is typical for the whole organization. Nowadays Backshop has a team of 4 fulltime advisors with many sales channels locally as well as abroad.
Backshop's knowledge in the area of computer related complaints like RSI/CANS was developed by working closely with paramedics, physisists, (behavioral) scientists and producers of hardware and ergonomic accessories. Backshop operates primarily in the Benelux, but is also active in Germany, Scandinavia, Englang, Austria, Greece, USA, New Zealand and Australia.
Backshop supports companies and institutions with her advice and is frequently stated as preferred (advising) supplier.
Maurice
Company physiotherapist
Maurice Arets is a company physiotherapist since 2007 actively involved in the Backshop team. Maurice is, next to his advisorship, involved in training companies and employees in solving computer related complaints or preventing them. Furthermore he is active in organizing and presenting workshops and seminars. Maurice gives advice in product development and heads the German branch of Backshop.
Femke
Ceasar Therapist
Femke Mulder is a registered Cesar Therapist and works as an accountmanager at Backshop to support clients and advise them. She is also involved in workshops and the disciplin MyoFeedback (EMG). Femke supports ARBO coordinators in using MyoFeedback equipment in combination with changing behaviour and creating awareness of screen related work environments.
Mr. Dr. Erik Peper
Psychologist
Erik Peper is psychologist and a fulltime professor at San Francisco State University. Erik is as a member of the Advisory Board connected to Backshop Healthy Computing. Next to his work as a scientific advisor, he is also professor at the Dutch Paramedic Institute (NPI) and president of the Biofeedback Society Europe (BFE). Erik is also author of several books and publications about Healthy Computing. Already in 1993 Erik Peper started with the successfull Healthy Computing programme for 2800 SFU employees. Erik advises at Backshop in the area of EMG/Biofeedback and behavioral change. Erik lectures frequently during seminars and masterclasses organized by Backshop.
Emile
Ergonomic advisor
Emile has finished his study Ergonomics and combines that with an allround function within Backshop. Next to his advisorship Emile is also responsible for the administrative and logistical process.
